Hello, my name is Carmen Franklin. I have been a quilter for over 40 years. Currently, I am a professional long arm quilter, quilt pattern designer, quilting instructor and quilting retreat organizer and hostess. My memberships include Delta Quilters, Contra Costa Guild of Quilters and Northern California Quilt Council.  Many of my quilts have won awards. Some of my clients have won awards for their quilts that I quilted for them and some of my client’s quilts have been shown at PIQF and the International Quilt Festival Houston. Additionally, I proudly quilt for Quilts of Honor.

After hosting successful retreats for friends and acquaintances, I decided to open Retreat for Quilters. The retreats are held in beautiful Murphys, California. Most of the retreats will be self-guided, open sewing type. I am the hostess and a resource for advice to help you with your projects.

These retreats are for you! Come by yourself or with friends and relax, laugh, take in the surroundings and do what you love….sew!
